Impending kid and darn extended family

Since I've managed to get my wife pregnant and travel is getting to be a little ridiculous in here in The States, there has been some rumblings about video chat so that Grandparents and long distance relatives can see the squirmy sack of flesh when it gets here.  I'm ambivalent about this and the wife is concerned that the family may see her or me rolling our eyes at them if we are on camera, but this one doesn't seem to be dying anytime soon.

My vote is to use the craptastic integrated .3 megapixel netbook camera to make it harder for them to see me wishing to be doing literally anything else than video chatting with them, but the wife has asked me to look for a web camera.  The last one to get posted on Engadget the Logitec C615 I'm sure is fine, but the Logitec c510 looks like it has similar specs and is only $40 instead of $80.  Anyone actually use these things?  I cannot imagine it makes that big of a difference in the end, but you never know.
