Recycle jeans

So Gizmodo posted this video a while ago about a special run of recycled denim jeans.  I'm confused why more recycling of denim isn't going on, if there is a "cost effective" manner for doing this I would think that it would be preferable to the trouble of new cotton from the field to be processed.

  9. it probably makes too much sense. who knows, maybe it is more expensive because nobody recycles jeans?
