SMBC Comic

Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal chimed in on the HR 1981 and SOPA/PIPA with this comic.

I think he did a solid job of grounding examples of what the powers they want mean to citizens.  Check it out.

  5. Ha. I enjoy that.
We do a lot of conversation on current legislation, proposed or in effect, in my Government class.

We're citizens no matter where we are now, but once upon a time, slaves were considered commerce and therefore not considered humans. Consider Dred Scott, a slave who escaped in the 1800's to a free state and attempted to use the judicial system to fight for his freedom. the courts ruled that his case was invalid because he was not a free man.
    So they threw it out.

  8. That comic trip is so true. I guess the government are nothing but slaves to the media industry.
