SMBC Comic
Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal chimed in on the HR 1981 and SOPA/PIPA with this comic.
I think he did a solid job of grounding examples of what the powers they want mean to citizens. Check it out.

ReplyDeleteGreat comic, pretty spot on.
ReplyDeleteSMBC is one of my all time favorite webcomics.
ReplyDeleteHa. I enjoy that.
ReplyDeleteWe do a lot of conversation on current legislation, proposed or in effect, in my Government class.
We're citizens no matter where we are now, but once upon a time, slaves were considered commerce and therefore not considered humans. Consider Dred Scott, a slave who escaped in the 1800's to a free state and attempted to use the judicial system to fight for his freedom. the courts ruled that his case was invalid because he was not a free man.
So they threw it out.
wat
haha it fits in perfectly, somehow cartoonists know how to say it exactly right
